NO RIFT WITH BALE, HAZARD

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that he has no issues with the duo of Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard who have played limited roles for him since he was named as the replacement for Frenchman Zinedine Zidane last summer for his second managerial spell at the club. Ancelotti talked about Bale and Hazard in a news conference on Wednesday ahead of the Spanish Copa Del Rey clash with Elche away from home on the following day. He also confirmed that both Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale were fit for the game. On their limited roles, Ancelotti said he chooses the team as manager and that he can’t keep everybody happy with playing time including the two aforementioned ex-Premier League stars.

Belgian international Eden Hazard has not played much this season mainly due to the form of younger talents such as Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes and Marco Asensio on the wings. He was an unused substitute in the last three Real Madrid games before the Elche game on Thursday. Those three games include the wins over Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final and Spanish Super Cup final respectively.

DOES BALE HAVE A FUTURE AT MADRID?

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale may not have a future at the club next season as rumors continue to loom around him. The Welsh winger was deemed surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu last season by former manager Zinedine Zidane following reports that he had a fall-out with the French manager.

Bale has often said in the past that all he wants to do is to play football, but he has not had that chance to perform for the Galacticos in recent months. Before sealing a loan move to England to join Tottenham Hotspur, Bale was relegated to the substitute’s bench and was no longer used by Zidane for reasons best known to him. When asked what the matter was, Zidane said that he was only focused on choosing the set of players he deems fit to play for the club at every point in time and before every single match.

The future of Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale continues to remain in huge doubt as the winger is reportedly still trying to assess his future in a bid to make the best decision that would suit him. Bale is currently enjoying his temporary career at Spurs after sealing a deadline-day loan move to the club from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer.
