BALE BACK ON FORM AT SPURS

Tottenham Hotspur fans would be delighted that favourite Gareth Bale is back on form after his recent showing in the Premier League. Gareth Bale is a favourite of the Tottenham Hotspur fans in his first spell at the club before Real Madrid made a big transfer coup to sign him. Real Madrid signed Gareth Bale from the North London giants in the summer of 2013 for a world-record fee. Real Madrid paid around £85.3m to sign Gareth Bale and break their record of £80m paid for a certain Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United four years earlier. Gareth Bale has not been able to recapture his old form since returning to Spurs from Real Madrid at the start of this season. Gareth Bale is back at Tottenham Hotspur for his second spell after Real Madrid sanctioned his loan return to the North London club. Upon his return to Spurs, club fans were excited by the attacking front trio of Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and Son Heung-Min but manager Jose Mourinho had rarely played the three players together until the weekend when the three players featured from the start at home to Burnley in the league.

Gareth Bale emerged as the star of that Burnley game on Sunday as he scored twice and added an assist to lead Tottenham Hotspur to a 4-0 win at home to the Clarets. Gareth Bale has now scored three goals in his last two games in all competitions. He was one of the scorers in the 4-0 home win over Wolfsberger AC in the second leg of their Europa League round of 32 tie. Spurs secured the aggregate win of 8-1 over the Austrians to book their place in the round of 16, where they will face Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia.
