GARETH BALE TO INSPIRE MADRID IN ABSENCE OF RONALDO

Welshman Gareth Bale is set to inspire Real Madrid to their first La Liga win in eight years in the absence of teammate Cristiano Ronaldo who is out injured.

Bale only lost his title of ‘most expensive player’ in the world this summer when Manchester United splashed the cash to resign the 23-year old Frenchman. The Wales international has been proving himself worthy of the tag of the successor of three-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 27-year old led Wales to European glory when they broke their record of over 58 years at the Euro 2016 in France when they reached the semi finals. Sportsmail reported that the Santiago Bernabeu management is set to offer the player a ‘contract for life,’ in lieu of the plans they had for him. It shows the management wants him to be the next big thing after the 31-year old Ronaldo retires.

BALE HOPES RONALDO’S INJURY DOESN’T AFFECT NEXT SEASON PLANS

Welsh superstar player Gareth Bale is all worried that the injury Real Madrid team mate Cristiano Ronaldo sustained at the final of the Euro 2016 tournament might affect his performance as they start preparations for the next season.

Portugal, captained by Ronaldo, defeated Wales at the semi final of the tournament hosted in France before lifting the trophy ahead of the host in the final. However, as the tournament has ended, players would have to return to their clubs to resume training ahead of the new season. Bale took to his social media handle to pray the Portuguese star is not too affected by the tackle from West Ham star Dimitri Payet.

“Terrible to see Cris come off like that. Hope it’s nothing too bad,” Bale posted on Twitter. Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League in the last campaign, making it the second in three years but they have failed to win the Spanish La Liga for years now. The last time they lifted the local league was when they won it under former manager Jose Mourinho, who is now with Manchester United.

Current manager Zinedine Zidane was able to transform the fortunes of the club when he took over in the last season but will likely make the La Liga a priority this year. Their chief rival Barcelona have won the title numerous times in recent years are going to be the main contender in the coming season, so Real Madrid would not be able to afford its most consistent goal scorer for six years to be injured as they kick off the campaign next month.

Gareth Bale can help Wales beat England at Euros according to Zinedine Zidane

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has claimed that Gareth Bale can help Wales beat England at the Euros.

He believes that the midfielder can bring inspiration to the whole team and assist them to achieve something great at the tournament.

The former French midfielder has stated that Gareth Bale has been in excellent form this season and that it is natural that he will go on and become a star at the Euros. He said that one player cannot make a team but that a single player can surely inspire others. He believes that he will be the one that will inspire Wales to beat England at the Euros.

He said that his presence in the team would cause the other players to believe that anything can happen on the pitch. He will inspire the others and make Wales quite difficult to beat in France. Zidane said he was pleased that Bale will be participating at the Euros. For him, he is one of the best players in the world and that he need to take part in such event on a regular basis. He said that Bale will benefit from the experience of such a tournament and that he hopes that he will be able to participate at the next World Cup. Continue reading

Gareth Bale is certain that Gary Neville will get back on track

Gary Neville was recently sacked from his managerial role in Valencia. Under the guidance of the English manager, Valencia went through a string of 9 winless league matches and this was hugely influential upon the eventual sacking of Neville who only managed to stay in charge of the Spanish club for a little over 3 months.

Even with this recent sacking of Neville from Valencia, Gareth Bale believes that Neville will be able to pick himself up and bounce right back as the Welshman voiced his thoughts in relation to the sacking of the English tactician who had a very underwhelming managerial spell with Valencia.

“It is obviously difficult coming to Spain anyway and being a manager where you really do have to be vocal and speak the language. It is obviously a difficult situation but I felt given time he’s shown how much he knows about football and it is obviously a shame he’s been sacked. I’m sure he’ll bounce back from the experience and it will stand him in good stead for the future.” Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale said.

Gareth Bale and Gary Neville both went through a similar thing in the sense that both football figures went from working in the Premier League and went to the Spanish league.

Valencia is the first club that Gary Neville has taken charge of but even though it wasn’t a very memorable time for Neville, Bale is certain that the English manager will learn from it and take charge of another club and improve from there on out.

Harry Redknapp believes that Manchester United can become title challengers once again

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes that Manchester United can become title challengers once again if they bring in Gareth Bale back to the Premier league.

The former Tottenham star is currently with Real Madrid, but it appears that speculation about a return to the English league will never go away. This is largely because Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to dominate the headlines even though Bale is being played in a much more forward role. Bale missed out on being nominated for the FIFA Ballon d’Or award shortlist whereas Ronaldo was for yet another year.

Even then, Redknapp believes that Bale is a supremely talented player who can turn around the fortunes of United. The Red Devils have been struggling to come anywhere near winning the title since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson came to an end. In fact, the club are struggling to even finish in the top four. It has been reported that United have been very keen on bringing Bale even before the winger went to Real Madrid. David Moyes has confirmed that this was indeed the case. The former United manager was involved in a number of failed attempts to get star names. Continue reading

Angel Di Maria reckons Argentina needs a tall man in the attacking line

Angel Di Maria reckons Argentina needs a tall man in the attacking line in order to be more aggressive and win the games by much bigger margins.

There has been a bit of criticism of late that the Argentineans are not able to dictate terms even when they come up against weaker oppositions.

In the currently going Copa America competition in Chile, Argentina took on Paraguay to start their campaign and could only manage a draw.

And, then, versus Jamaica, they won by a slender margin of one goal.

In both those games, they were expected to be more dominant as they have some big names on the paper.

But, according to Di Maria, when the minnow teams face Argentina, they tend to be back most of the times and that makes it difficult for La Albiceleste to score too many no. of goals. If there had been the presence of a tall attacker, playing in the air would have been possible and that would probably have yielded better results. Continue reading

Gareth Bale’s injury will keep him out of the playing grounds for up to 3 weeks

On April 18, Real Madrid secured their 25th La Liga victory of this season with a final scoreboard of 3-1 but this victory came at a hefty cost for the team of Carlo Ancelotti as Gareth Bale had to be removed from the pitch at the 5th minute as he was replaced by Javier Hernandez at the early stages of the game.

The medical staff of Real Madrid is now reporting that Bale might have to stay on the sidelines of the team for up to 3 weeks and this will be leaving the Welshman unable to play in the upcoming crucial matches of Real Madrid as they have to play against: Athletic Madrid, Celta de Vigo, Almeria, Sevilla and Valencia in the next 3 weeks.

Karim Benzema, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale are the regular starters of Ancelotti which have been picking up injuries recently and the Italian coach will have to find a solution to this recent injury wave that has been affecting some of his key figures.

Gareth Bale underwent a series of physical tests and scans in order to find out the length and condition of his injury and Real Madrid released a statement which read:  “Following tests carried out on Gareth Bale at the Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his left soleus. His progress will be monitored.” Continue reading

Gareth Bale wont Leave Real Madrid

Manchester United target Gareth Bale has confirmed that he does not intend to leave Real Madrid – despite the intense speculation – in this January transfer window or in the summer.

The world record signing has been subjected to intense transfer rumours over the last few months. After having cost £ 85 million, many expected Bale to have an even greater impact than Ronaldo. This has not been the case as the Portuguese superstar has been able to go from strength to strength. After an impressive first season at Madrid where he contributed immensely for the Champions League and the Copa del Rey success, Bale has been finding it difficult to live up to the expectations. Carlo Ancelotti shows full confidence on Marcelo

The Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that there is no player in the world who can play better than Marcelo at the full back position.

It completely contradicts the statement that the Selecao manager Dunga had made about Marcelo the other day.

Dunga had said that Marcelo did not have the right kind of approach during the World Cup this year and his recklessness cost Brazil dearly in the all important semi final game against Germany.

According to Dunga, rather than doing his job i.e. to keep  the opposition attackers at bay, Marcelo has the tendency to try and move forward all the time and in order to do so, he leaves a hole at his position.

But, Ancelotti does not think that there is anything wrong with Marcelo’s approach as defender.

The Blancos manager has, in fact, put the 26-year old right up there in the list of full backs.

Speaking about Marcelo last evening, Ancelotti said, “I don’t think Marcelo was the only reason because of which Brazil could not win the World Cup. They made mistakes as a group. To hold any particular player responsible for that is not fair at all.”

“For me, Marcelo is as good as anybody else playing as full back in the professional circuit. This season, he’s been brilliant for us and we would not mind if he is not recalled to the Brazilian side because then he would put all his focus on the club.”

The previous manager of Brazil i.e. Luiz Felipe Scolari had faith in Marcelo and he had started with him in most of the games in the World Cup.

But, since the time Scolari has been replaced by Dunga, Marcelo has not played even one game for his country.

Alonso Praises Bale’s Footwork

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has praised the match winner from summer signing Gareth Bale by saying that it was one of the best goals he has seen this season. Gareth Bale was signed by Real Madrid from Tottenham for an astonishing transfer fee of £ 85 million, thus making him the most expensive player in the world. Due to this fee, the media have been constantly comparing him with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. For most of the season, Bale has been overshadowed by Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

However, for the first time, he had the opportunity to step out of the shadows of the Portuguese superstar after being taken up in the starting line-up for the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona. Ronaldo, meanwhile, was missing from the squad due to a hamstring injury and he is expected to be so for the next few matches at least. Bale grabbed the opportunity with both hands after scoring the winner with only a few minutes remaining. Angel di Maria had earlier given Real Madrid the lead with a brilliant counter-attack before Batra equalised for Barcelona in the second half.

However, a bursting run for the entire length of the pitch saw Bale scored incredible goal in the closing minutes of the match to get Madrid the win in the tournament.

“It was incredible, I have never seen anything like it. It looked like the ball was going out, but he kept pushing and ran off the field to get it. It was amazing,” said Alonso after the match. Even opposition manager Martino awards in praise of the goal. “It is difficult to see a player sprint like that at that stage of the game. Obviously this is not a good moment. It has been a hard week on all fronts,” said Martino.
